Where 21 boards rank this prospect
Undersized at just under 6 ft w/o shoes. Average to slightly below average athlete for an NBA PG as well. Plays hard, hustles, gives max effort, and is always in the right spot. Tons of steals, and analytically rated as tied for top defensive PG in CBB last yr as measured by DBPM. Despite that, I don't see him being a lockdown defender. Don't think he has the physical tools to do that. Had a positive impact by making right reads and hustling. Don't see that being as effective in the NBA. On offense he makes the right reads. Great A/TO ratio, but isn't a great creator. Also isn't a good shooter. Intangibles are off the charts, but I feel like he'll struggle to carve out a role in the NBA with his lack of creation/shooting on offense, and lack of size on defense. Could have an Alvarado type role in the best case scenario. Some of the player comps statistically were Jamal Shead, Jevon Carter, and Gary Payton. Think he's a step below those guys athletically (especially Shead and Payton). Think he's probably out of the league in a few years, but maybe he could carve out a role on the end of a bench with his intangibles/hustle.
