Where 16 boards rank this prospect
6'1" with a sub 8 ft standing reach, so he's undersized for an NBA guard. Has vertical pop, decent lateral athleticism and is solidly build, so I think he'd be able to hold his own defensively, and could even potentially even be a plus defender at the PG spot. Offensively is where I have concerns. Came into college being known as a great shooter and shot 39/38 percent his first two years at Arizona, but he's struggled his last two years at Illinois, shooting 25 and 31 percent respectively. The eye test to me says he's closer to those Illinois numbers. He's also not overly skilled as a playmaker. He does take care of the ball though. The combo of lack of creation offensively, lack of shooting, and lack of size makes me think that he probably doesn't stick in the league. The potential exception could be if he turns his shot around. If he does that, maybe he could have an Alvarado-esque role as a defensive disruptor off of the bench.
