PHYSICAL - Decent to good speed - Has some strength for his size SKILLS - Handle is tight - Patient in getting open and has moves to create space - Good foul drawer on drives and middies - Gets to his spots - Uses screens to score SHOOTING - Jumper is definitely on his right shoulder - Not the fastest release - Release point is okay - Jumper is a concern between the slowish release/bad form/low release point but he has range - Doesn't shoot too too much off ball or from the corners but is somewhat capable FINISHING - Drives through contact and can finish in varied ways - Can drive at different angles and find his way to the rim - Advanced and creative finisher - Doesn’t get above the rim PASSING - Is a good passer off of drives - Can make kick out/dump/high to low/cross court passes with one or both hands - Seems pretty accurate with the ball - Has decent to good processing and good vision - Runs a variety of plays and can make different reads - Looks to disguise or use misdirection to create space for teammates DEFENSE - Swivels hips well and has good footwork - Walls up decently well - Can be beat off ball a bit - Played in zone a decent bit so the film is limited
I don't think Okorie will stick in the NBA for long. He's an undersized, score first, inefficient guard. Not a good shooter, sub-par finisher at the rim, and not a great passer either. Will get hunted on defense due to his size. One of the better guys in the class at putting pressure on the rim, but that's really all he provides, and he's a subpar finisher even when he gets to the rim. Quick, but didn't blow me away with his athleticism as a whole. Don't see what value he provides to an NBA team.
