“Stirtz is an odd athlete. He has elite, high level quickness in a straight line driving downhill. He was very effective getting to the rim if he got an advantage out of the pick and roll, and shot over 70 percent at the rim (truly elite). Once he's going downhill in a straight line, he's gone, and you aren't catching up. However, in pretty much every other scenario, he's a subpar athlete. Very little wiggle/lateral burst. Very little vertical pop. Very narrow, slender frame. Not much strength. For those reasons, he struggles to create outside of the pick and roll. For the same reasons, he also struggles defensively. Don't think his frame will allow him to switch at all, and he'll likely struggle to stay in front of PGs too. Just don't see him as dynamic of an athlete to stick in the NBA, especially since he doesn't have a truly special skill to hang his hat on. Good, but not elite shooter, both on and off ball. Makes smart decisions passing, but isn't an elite passer (no flashy or special passes). Don't see why you'd want to put the ball in his hand over most other guys in the league.”
