Generational talent, no question or doubt that he is the #1 pick in this draft.
Elite Size and Intengibles. 6'9 pure wing with a 40 inch vert and a positive wingspan. He has a great usage of his footwork and stride length. Has a rly good middy, loves the free throw line jumper. Good shotmaker from the midrange, can make difficult shots look easy. Good passer but something he can still improve on. Has to think about the pass before he does it. 3 POINT is on and off, but has shown some flashes of volume recently. His ability to get to the free throw line is so impressive, hes gonn average double digit free throws. His defense is the biggest question, especially off the ball, but has the tools to be good at the next stage. His limited seperation sometimes forces bad shots, but with an improved handle and more spacing, it could be better on the next level.

AJ Dybantsa is an incredible scorer. He is nearly 6'10, giving him an advantage over almost every defender he will face on a night to night matchup. He projects to be a three level scoring threat, although I am a little worried about the three point shot. I wanted to see him be a little more efficient and take more threes in college last year. I am still incredibly high on AJ and believe he can be a teams main scoring option on night one - whether that's the Jazz or the Wizards. I'd like to have seen a little bit better play making from him last year, but with the personnel he had around him, I see why that part of his game wasn't as much of a focus.

Athletic specimen, can score at will with great size. The shot is streaky but has shown signs of translatability. Solid defensively with good size to contest shots. Upside is sky high and the talent is there

Has all the tools and is a competitor. Decision making needs some work that will come with time. I look forward to him adding functional muscle over the next few years. Cross between Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown at 99% outcome. 70% outcome is problematic, probably something like Wiggins or Josh Smith? 50% is probably Corey Brewer. Im confident he’ll get to 85-90% of his potential. Seems like a good kid with a good work ethic. Preferred Destination: Utah due to the blantant rule breaking by Ryan Smith, Brooklyn, Chicago as big cities that need franchise cornerstones. Probably wants to avoid Washington (with the Trae/AD pivot, could struggle to find shots in year 1) Sacramento (pitiful wretches of the league) Indiana (Hali’s team, immediate competition pressure). Atlanta and Memphis are interesting destinations if they jump spots.

PHYSICAL - Has good wing speed and solid wing strength SKILLS - Stays low and takes huge calculated strides - Handle is decent - Decision making can be very suspect - Plays very ball dominant SHOOTING - Finds his spots at will - Has a mid range game - Creates space easily but more than not shoots without it - Three point jumper looks solid - Doesn't like to shoot the three - Release is high but a little in front of him however he gets good elevation so the shot isn't very contestable - Jumper motion is quick FINISHING - Plays above the rim - Has post moves and counters - Is a lob threat - Drives well - Finishes through contact - Can get past wings PASSING - Can make dump off/high to low/wrap around/lob/pocket/kick out passes - Is not the most willing passer - Has decent vision - Has some accuracy issues on passes - Has solid processing - Can pass with one or two hands DEFENSE - Has positioning issues covered by athleticism - Has inconsistent footwork and effort - Does have good hands

AJ is my number one player in this year's class. He has continually answered every question asked by him. He's been facing one of the hardest, not even necessarily hardest, but a lot of junk coverages. With Richie Saunders going out, his usage rate has gone up. His playmaking ability was even more in showcase. He has a special ability to get to the lane, to get paint touches. Extremely agile, can get low to the floor (which he still can improve on). The ball in the basket. I do not care about his low three-point rate at all. The fact that he is scoring on dis-efficiency with long twos against these types of defensive coverages is a testament to his touch and scoring ability. Defensively there are concerns but I think that's mainly due to usage rate and him seeing himself as a star already. If he's giving you dis-offensive production I don't need him to be the lockdown defender. He is already at 6'9" with this agility going to be. His floor is going to be higher than many people's ceiling. This is the number one pick in the draft, no doubt.

Just a ridiculous intersection of athleticism and paint finishing. Elite at drawing fouls. Very polished from the short midrange area. Favors turnaround jumpers over pull-up shots. Great passer out of double teams and a high level lob thrower. Diagnoses defenses at an elite level out of the midpost. Plays at a deliberate pace despite athleticism does not get sped up. Very capable on ball defender. Gets lost in switches. Good communicator. Doesn’t protect the rim as much as you’d want given his size and athleticism. Not a very good outside shooter shot comes off his hand super flat. Highest ceiling in this class.

Ceiling T-Mac If he gets a a consistent 3pt shot he could be similar to T-Mac, at worst low tier all star

AJ Dybantsa is not someone who we should overthink. AJ Dybantsa is the typical elite wing prospect, 6’9”, extremely agile on the ball, extremely bendy around tight angles. Star wings today, set to join the ranks of Jason Tatum or a Cooper Flagg. A lot of people have been mentioning his low three-point rate as a detriment, but I see it as one of his greatest strengths honestly. He has been completely adamant, tireless, almost psychotic about putting his head down and getting to the rim in a constricted NCAA half-court setting. The complete opposite of what he was doing in high school, where he was settling and was one of my worries. Don’t have the stats in front of me right now as I’m writing this, but he is up there with Dylan Harper, Ja, Zion, and other collegiate prospects who have an insanely high drive rate and self-created layup rate. The defense will come. It doesn’t really need to be elite. The strength will come, a la Shai. The game feel and passing will come with time. There’s no reason to bet against that happening. It will be interesting to see his initial transition to the league, but as of today he is second on my board. A sure-fire hit as it can get.

The sky is the limit for AJ Dybansta, who has all the tools and athleticism to become the best player in this class. He has a generational ability to create advantages and get into the paint because of his first step, long strides, and super-human strength and athleticism. He has the ability to change speed and direction at any given moment on the basketball court and is a great finisher in traffic at the rim. He can be over-reliant on his athleticism at times, and has a tendency to pick up the ball too early on drives, and will definitely benefit from getting stronger. With all that being said, he is still drawing fouls at an elite level in college due to his size and athleticism, combined with his almost savvy-vet like abiliity to feel contact and punish it. He has great footwork with the ball in his hands, and I am very confident in him being a great shooter at the next level. He can shoot over anyone on the court and is a tough shot maker. I worry about his processing, as it is not on the level of the top two I have in this class (Peterson and Boozer), at times telegraphs passes, read the game a tad slower than I would like and settles a bit too much in the mid range, and doesn't show anything special in terms of anticipation, reading defenses, or dealing with double teams. However, I also think this can be chalked up to the fact that he is one of, if not the biggest, stars in the nation on a team that doesn't necessarily complement his skill set outside of Richie Saunders and Rob Wright, and will benefit the most from NBA-level spacing. I would say my biggest gripe with Dybantsa would be his effort level on the defensive end. He has all the tools to be a POA defender who strikes fear into the heart of anyone who stands opposite him, but seems like he simply couldn't be bothered at times. He is elite because of his offense and has improved on virtually everything. He has an equally high ceiling as Peterson, higher ceiling than Boozer, but also the lowest floor.
